Born on May 8, 1951, in Weatherford, Texas, to Chester Wallace and Ina Mae Terrell Wallace, Jimmie's vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He married the love of his life, Donna, in 1974, forging a bond filled with warmth and laughter.
As a skilled welder who worked on front loader buckets, Jimmie dedicated his days to crafting metal, yet it was his love for life that truly set him apart. He enjoyed visiting the casino, where joy was found in the thrill of hoping to win big. Jimmie was outgoing and friendly, and he made friends easily with just a smile shared. His heart danced to the tunes of old rock music. He delighted in his fascination with trains and as a patriot, he loved anything relating to the military.
Jimmie's legacy continues through his beloved family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Wallace; his daughters, Jennifer Geer and Angela Browning; and his grandsons, Tyler Browning and partner Koda Sehnal, and Nick Browning. He will be deeply missed by his brother, Mike Wallace, and significant other, Roberta Sheffield; his sister, Patsy Sims, and husband, Larry Sims; and his sister-in-law, Joyce Wallace, as well as many cherished brothers and sisters-in-law from Donna's side of the family.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Albert Wallace and Paul Wallace; and his sons-in-law, Jason Geer and Richard Browning—a reminder of the enduring bonds of love that transcend time.
On behalf of the family, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice and Renew Home Health for their compassionate care during Jimmie's final days.
A memorial service to celebrate Jimmie’s life will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Jimmie's memory, we invite all who wish to pay tribute to consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society.
Jimmie will always be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the love he shared so freely. He may be gone from our sight, but he will forever remain in our hearts.
