Jimmy C. Beckham Jr

Mr. Jimmy Claude Beckham, Jr., was born, March 3, 1961, in Pike County, Molena Georgia, a son of the late Jimmy Beckham, Sr., and Martha Thompson Beckham. Jimmy was a graduate of Pike County High School in Zebulon, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from West Georgia College. During Jimmy's junior year of college, he accepted the Lord and has been a faithful servant of the kingdom ever since. Jimmy loved to praise and worship God! Jimmy was employed by General Motors in the Blank & Shear department. In earlier years he worked at GM's Doraville, Georgia plant and later transferred to the Lordstown, Ohio Plant. At GM, he worked as part of the Quality Network team, taught facilitator classes, and served as a safety trainer from 1986 to 2019. Jimmy was also an alternate committeeman with GM-UAW Local 10 before retiring after 34 years of service.
Jimmy and Rose M. Giles united in marriage, February 11, 2012, in Liberty, Ohio. They made Bowling Green, Kentucky their home in September of 2018. Jimmy's passion and love for God continued throughout his life as he served in many capacities such as, former Deacon, Bible School teacher and New Members Class teacher, working with Vacation Bible School and in Bible Studies with Second Baptist Church in Warren, Ohio. Upon moving to Kentucky Jimmy and Rose became members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Jimmy's favorite song was You Know My Name.
Jimmy was active with the Democratic Party in electing Barack Obama and supporting Civil Rights causes. He enjoyed basketball, football (Pittsburgh Steelers), and baseball (Toronto Blue Jays). Travel was a passion, but spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, brought him the greatest joy.
Jimmy's move to his new home took place on, October 25, 2025, as he joined along with his parents' sisters, Barbara Zellner, and Valarie Barlow, brother, Glenn Beckham.
Those that will forever honor his memories, wife Rose M. Beckham, Bowling Green, Kentucky; children, Jeremy Beckham, Lithonia Springs, Georgia, Stephen Beckham, Griffin, Georgia, Timothy Beckham, Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Marie( Brian) Hairston, Franklin, Tennessee, Richard (Kristin) Giles, Willoughby, Ohio, and Antonio (Tashima) Giles, Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren, Jakari, Justus, Marshall, Nolan, Hollie, Amina, Timothy, Jr., Mason, Mallex, Boaz, Arrow, and Sage; sisters, Anita Evans, Sharron Richard, and Pam Beckham; brother Marty (Annette) Beckham; a host of nieces, nephews,
in-laws, numerous friends he thought of as brothers and so many other friends.
