James “Jimmy” Noble Brown, 76, of Rising Fawn, GA, passed away peacefully at his home on February 5, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, whose cheerful spirit touched the lives of many.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Jimmy's life will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 12:00 PM at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother Dewayne Moon and Brother Don Clowers officiating. Following the service, Jimmy will be laid to rest at New Testament Holiness Cemetery in Sand Rock, AL.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM ET and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service hour.
Jimmy was known for his light-hearted nature and the gift to gab. He cherished time spent with family, who were the cornerstone of his life. He was a devoted husband to Deborah Brown for 52 years and a proud father to Chris Brown, Jennifer Brown, Cynthia (Adam) Ortwein, and Jon Brown. Jimmy found immense joy in his role as a grandfather to Christen Fuller, Jonah Brown, Rhyder Brown, Bettye Ortwein, and Edwin Ortwein.
He was a hardworking individual and continued to work at O'Reilly Auto Parts after retirement. His commitment to service extended beyond his profession as he proudly served in the United States Army.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and a caring mother, Nellie Brown. He is also remembered by his brothers, Richard (Lis Marie) and Raymond (Donna) Brown, and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Brown, along with a host of friends who will miss him dearly.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Noble Brown.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Brandi, Crystal, and the staff at Hearth Hospice, as well as special friend Joey Fisher for their compassionate care during this time.
Jimmy's legacy of love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
