Jimmy Caldwell

Jimmy Dan Caldwell, age 63, of Antonito, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home on August 4, 2025, with his loving wife and son by his side. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Ruiz, and their son, John Ruiz; his sisters, Toni Caldwell of Antonito, Veronica Howell (Dave) of Greeley, and Val Duran (Al) of Alamosa. He is also survived by his nieces, Tamara Samora (Gabe) of Del Norte and Amber Mascarenas (Matt) of Antonito, and his nephews, Jerrod Howell from Greeley and Brandon Jiron from Antonito. He is remembered by many extended family members and friends who loved him. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Evangeline Perea, his father, Jimmy Caldwell, his sister Elizabeth "Lilbet" Bates, and several beloved aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Jimmy will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the deep connections he shared with those closest to him. His passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Cremation has been chosen, and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
