Obituary of Jimmy Glenn Darland
Jimmy Glenn Darland was born on July 27, 1948, in Porum, OK, to parents F. James and Rosa Lee Darland. He passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, at Grace Skilled Nursing & Therapy in Jenks, OK.
Jimmy was the oldest of 5 children, siblings being Sandra, Gail, Catherine, Richard and Ronald. He was married briefly to Ladonna Harriman and later to Terrie Rogers, who was the mother to his sons.
Jimmy was a machinist and an HVAC tech. He also liked camping out, going to the lake and various other activities. Jimmy loved being around his family, but when he was ready to go, he would just leave. He liked to go sightseeing and play "Tour Guide", driving to museums or just going to different towns to see what had changed. Sometimes he would call you and talk for a long time and other times he would just say he was calling to check on you and that was the end of that.
You never saw him without a 44oz cup of unsweetened tea, and if you needed help, he was always willing to come and help.
He is survived by his 5 sons-Micky Darland of Sapulpa,OK, Donny Darland of Broken Arrow, OK, Tony Darland of Sand Springs,OK, Travis Darland of Collinsville, OK & Stacey Darland of Round Rock, TX, 9 grandchildren: Hailey Grinslade of Durant, OK, Amber Milbourn of Broken Arrow, OK, Zachary Darland of Tulsa, OK, Savanna Darland of Sand Springs, OK, Dayton Darland of Owasso, OK, Jacelyn Darland of Collinsville, OK, Trip Darland of Collinsville,OK.
