Jimmy Dale Davis, 76, lost his long battle with cancer on February 9, 2025, at Prairie Grove Health & Rehab, Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Jim was born August 25, 1948, in Yakima, Washington, to Vernon "Dink" and Bessie Eaton Davis but lived in Arkansas most of his life.
Jim was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1968 during the Vietnam War and served two years in our nation's service. He especially enjoyed his time in Germany and sent his mother a beautiful Bavarian cuckoo clock that she treasured for many years. After his discharge from the Army, he married Vickie Ann Shepherd and they had two children, Amy Leann and Jimmy Dale Jr.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and one brother, Howard Davis.
Jim is survived by his two children, Amy and Jimmy of Texas, three granddaughters: Reagan, Jenna, and Micah; one great-grandson, Cason; three sisters, Lou Bunch of Prairie Grove, Shirley Mowery of Bella Vista, Cindy Grigg of Fayetteville; and his good friend, Gayla Behlke of Huntsville. Per Jim's request, there are no services scheduled at this time.
Burial is under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home at Old Bethel Cemetery, Red Star, Arkansas.
