Jimmy was born in Cordele, Georgia to the late Charlie Reuben Guy and the Alice Laverne Tripp Guy. He worked as a self-employed handyman and was known for his dedication and hard work.
He is survived by his mother Alice T. Lashley of Pitts, Georgia; his daughter Amber Guy of Albany, Georgia; his siblings Morris Grimes of Cordele, Donald (Becky) Grimes of Seville, Georgia, Tonya (Bruce) Brown and Marsha (Ricky) Murray all of Cordele, Pam Grimes and Becky Smith both of Pitts; and several nieces and nephews.
