Jimmy Ray Hadaway Jr., age 72, passed away in his home, his wife at his side, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in Chappell, New Mexico. He was born August 5, 1952, to Jimmy R. Hadaway, Sr. and Mary Helen Hellman in Washington D.C.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Lellis I. Hadaway and Dora; father, Jimmy R. Hadaway, Sr.; his uncles and aunts, and his mother-in-law Linda Castellano.
He is survived by his wife Loretta, his step-children, Isabelle Pate (Ron), Isaac Valdez (Carrie), and Monica Marquez; step-grandchildren, Jose Luis (Priscilla), Dominique (Santiago), Nadia, Ryleigh, Patrick, Kiara; step-great-granddaughter, Lillia; father-in-law, Melaquias Castellano; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Melaquias Castellano Jr. (Gretchen), Berna Baca (Robert), Chris (Tammy), Yvonne, Ambrose (Renee), along with several nieces and nephews through marriage.
Jimmy enjoyed Rock and roll music, some of his favorites were; "Night moves" by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, "Shakin" by Eddie Money, and "Crossroads" by Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder.
He enjoyed working on the yard.
There will be a celebration of life gathering at a future date, Loretta, his widow will send an invitation.
