Jimmy Dean Holmes

Jimmy Dean Holmes, 72, of Easton, CA, passed away on September 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was a devoted husband, best friend, and proud father.

Jim is survived by his wife, Alison (Stewart) Holmes of Easton, CA; his brother Jack Holmes of Easton, CA, and Jack's wife, Phyllis; his brother Jerrol Holmes of Idaho and his wife Joanne, his daughter, Kaity Holmes; his stepson Gary Konieczny and his wife Molly Jean; his grandchildren, Stephanie {Red}, Charlotte, Grant, and Preston along with various nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was born April 1953 in Fresno, CA, the son of Floye C. "Bud" Holmes and Della Mae Holmes. Jim graduated from Washington Union High School in 1971, then attended Fresno City College, where he earned his Assoc in Arts Degree.

He dedicated his career to safety, working as a Cal/OSHA Sr. Safety Engineer for the State of California for over 29 years, retiring in 2023.

Outside of work, Jim loved fishing whenever he had the chance. He was an active member of the local HOG Chapter and enjoyed riding his Harley, as well as camping with family and friends in the desert. You could often find him in his favorite recliner with a red beer in hand, cheering on the Dodgers or the Green Bay Packers. Known as a "yes man," he always greeted others with a hug, a smile, and sometimes a cocktail. He leaves behind countless "good buddies" who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floye C. "Bud" Holmes and Della Mae Holmes; his brothers, James Ray Holmes and Therril "TJ" Holmes and his nephew, Ricky Holmes.

A Graveside Service will be held at Washington Colony Cemetery in Easton on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
