Jimmy "Jim" Dean Jackson, age 80, of Spring, passed away October 14th. He was born October 2nd, 1945, in Dallas, Texas to Burl Dean Jackson and Mary Ella (Henslee) Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Jackson; daughter, Amanda "Mandy" Payne; son, Joshua Jackson; grandsons, Hunter McKnight, Forrest Jackson, River Jackson; sister, Deena Beckett; brother, Alan Jackson; daughter-in-law, Amanda Jackson; son-in-law, Greg Payne.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ella Jackson, and, Father Burl Dean Jackson.

Jim Jackson, devoted father, beloved husband, and man of deep faith, passed away peacefully in Spring, Texas, on October 14, 2025. He was born in Dallas, Texas, where his roots began, and for many years he made his home in Spring, surrounded by family and friends.

Jim's love for the Lord shaped his life in every way. He sought to live kindly and generously, always ready to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or share a moment of fellowship. His faith was not just something he believed in-it was clearly seen in the way he treated others and the warmth he showed all who knew him.

Family was central to Jim's heart. As a husband and father, he was steadfast in his devotion and tender in his support. He took great joy in his role, cherishing time spent with his children, his spouse, and the extended family gatherings that brought laughter, memories, and love. Everyone who interacted with Jim felt his genuine care and kindness; it was said often that "anyone who knew him loved him immensely."

Jim had a few passions that highlighted his zest for life:

• He was a proud supporter of the Texas A&M Aggies (the Aggies), embracing the traditions, camaraderie, and spirited culture that come with being part of that family.

• Travel ignited his curiosity and gave him opportunities to experience new places, meet new people, and create memories that he carried home to share.

• Above all, Jim valued being close to God, and his faith journey inspired many around him to similarly seek hope, service, and meaning.

His kindness and generosity were hallmarks of his character: whether through offering an encouraging word, quietly helping someone in need, or simply being present with a listening ear-Jim lived out the principle of "serving without expectation." Those who had the privilege of being his friend or family member know that he leaves behind a legacy of warmth, reliability, and love.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 24th at 1:00 PM at Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Road, Spring, Texas 77069, with Wade Liberator officiating.
