Jimmy LaBouve, born in Hathaway on July 25, 1944, son of the late Albert and Orilla Landry LaBouve, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the age of eighty.
Jimmy worked as a maintenance man for many years and he was also a musician. Jimmy enjoyed doing mechanic work, and he loved playing instruments.
Jimmy is survived by his sister, Lorice LaBouve Moore; stepdaughter, Leona Ickes; grandchildren, Lacey Cates; Simon Carter, Jr.; Stephen Carter, and James Kubisch; great-grandchildren, Josenid; Enrique; Braxton; Brandon; Tyler, and Jay; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlene LaBouve; siblings, William LaBouve, Wilson LaBouve, Lester LaBouve, and Verna Landry.
A gathering of friends and family will begin Monday, January 20, 2025 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 4p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Cremation will follow the gathering under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
