James "Jimmy" Christopher Mitchell passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, at his home in Gilbertsville at the young age of 41.
He and his beloved wife, Leah, were high school sweethearts since 2001 and recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary.
Jimmy was the son of James and Susan, born in Philadelphia, and later resided in Perkasie and Harleysville before he and Leah settled in Gilbertsville where he touched so many lives.
Jimmy was a proud cat and dog dad to Buddy, Charlie Murphy, Harry, Lloyd, and Bane.
Jimmy was a graduate of Pennridge High School and Automotive Training Center. He dedicated the last 20+ years to his lifelong passion for cars working at Harris Brothers Kia of Lansdale and most recently at Gateway Kia in Quakertown for the last three years.
You may also have seen Jimmy fixing cars in a parking lot or on the side of the road as he would often stop to help people stranded no matter how long his day was, how tired he felt, or where he had to be.
If you knew him, you knew he was a truly gentle, caring, and loving soul with an amazing sense of humor and passion for teaching others. He always put others first and was quick with a joke, movie quote, or a smile that would melt your heart.
Survivors of this great man are his "forever weirdo", soulmate and wife Leah(Jarrell); his parents James and Susan; stepparents Kevin and Maureen; brothers Billy and Stephen; sisters Laura, Julia, Valerie, Erika, and Jen; as well as his grandmom Regina.
Now in a more peaceful place, Jimmy will first look for his grandpop James and Uncle Mike and they will all sit down to a meal prepared by Skip. Later they will watch one of Jimmy's favorite movies and laugh the night away.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA, from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, followed by a brief time of sharing by the family at 8 pm.
To honor Jimmy the family asks that attire be casual and comfortable, hoodies and sweats are encouraged.
