Jimmy Newman Obituary
Jimmy Randall Newman, age 52, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023. He was born January 21, 1971, in Gaston County to the late Lewis and Dora Hefner Newman.
Jimmy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed playing his Xbox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Newman; and niece, Crystal Sexton Chastain.
Survivors include his brother Lewis Newman, Jr. (Kim); sister, Sheila Robinson (J.R.); nephews, Lewis “Bit” Sexton, and Jimmy Sexton; great-nephews, Dylan Chastain, J.J. Sexton, and Zachary Sexton; great-nieces, Hailey Martin, and Stacy Chastain; he also had many close friends including, Amy Robinson, Jason “Truck” Smith, and Freddie Yelton.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Gary Teague, III officiating.
His family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
