Jimmy Lee Whitchuch Sr., age 75 of Newalla, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on July 6, 2022. Jimmy was born on April 9, 1947, in Taft, California, the son of Bill Whitchurch and Doris (Raynor) Imoe.
As a young man of seventeen years-old, Jimmy enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. At the time, he was the youngest CDL driver in the Marines. He earned a Purple Heart for his bravery, as well as an honorable discharge for services rendered to his country when called upon to do so.
Jimmy's love of driving continued after leaving the military, and he went on to become a professional truck driver, an occupation he thoroughly enjoyed. He particularly loved driving his black '57 Chevy with flames on the side. More than anything in life, Jimmy loved spending time with those he loved. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, and brother. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Imoe, his father, Bill Whitchurch, and one sister, Karen Wooten.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda Higgins; a son, Jimmy Whitchurch Jr.; one grandson, Bryton Whitchurch; his siblings, brothers Bob Whitchurch, and David Imoe, and sister Barbara Imoe, along with a host of loving extended family and friends.
