Aschoff, Jo Ann (Koke)

May 20, 1936 - November 22, 2023

Jo Ann (Koke) Aschoff, 87, of West Point, died Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hillside Villa in West Point.

Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point with Rev. James Weeder as celebrant. The funeral will be live streamed on the Stokely Funeral Home Facebookpage at facebook.com/stokelyfuneralhome. Because of Jo Ann's love of education one of her final wishes was to have her earthlybody donated to College of St. Mary's. Burial to be held at a later date. Lunch will be at the Nielsen Center following the funeral. Visitation will be Monday from 12 to 4 p.m. with a Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters Rosary at 1:30 p.m. at Stokely Funeral Home. Visitation with family present will continue from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the Anatomical Board of Nebraska or St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Jo Ann was born on May 20, 1936 to Joseph and Frances (Langdon) Koke in Omaha. She attended Gretna High School, where she graduated in 1953. She continued on to College of St. Mary, where she earned a degree in education.

She is survived by her eight children; sister, Doris Royal; and brother, Jack (Gloria) Koke of Gretna. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony and son, Carl.
