Jo Ann Dorough, 82, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2025, at home. Jo Ann was born on June 17, 1942, to Irvin and Willie Pearl Murphy in Dallas, TX. She was raised in Kemp, TX, graduating from Kemp High School in 1960. On October 19, 1963, she married David Dorough in Durant, OK and they have spent a loving 61 years together.
When she was young she helped her dad at the service station, which prepared her for when she got married, helping keep the books at her husband’s Lawnmower Shop. Jo Ann did enjoy going shopping but spent her most precious time with her family. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Her parents, Irvin and Willie Pearl, daughters: Lesa Reynolds and Davie Ann Dorough; and sister Lanelle Langston preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband David Dorough; grandchildren: Josh Reynolds and wife Nicole, Kari Reynolds and husband Rome Sisemore, Robert Reynolds and wife Emily; great grandchildren: Savannah Reynolds, Emma Reynolds, Brooklyn Reynolds, Madelyn Reynolds, Jack Sisemore, and Daveigh Ann Sisemore; numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
