After a long illness JoAnn Guresky passed peacefully from this life to the next Saturday evening October 4, 2025.
She was preceded by her parents Harry Webster (1939) and Mary Stiles (1980). She is now united with them and her beloved husband of 55 years, Peter F. Guresky (2012).
JoAnn is survived by her daughter Karen Richmond, son-in-law Sidney Richmond, her son Peter W. Guresky, daughter-in-law Amy Guresky, and her sister Betty Byarlay. Her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren were a source of immense pleasure to her. All shall miss her greatly.
JoAnn graduated from Marianna High School in 1955 and married her husband in 1957. She has been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Little Rock for almost fifty years and until recent years rarely missed a Sunday service.
JoAnn’s joyful demeanor and engaging personality will stay with us and in our memories for many years to come. She devoted her life to others through service to her family and church. In that time she touched many hearts with her Christ-like emptying of her treasures for the benefit of those around her. Her singular mission was self-sacrifice to aid her home and church for the glory of God. At all times and in every way she kept her focus on the purpose driven life. She is now relieved from earthly burdens and dismissed from this valley of tears. Mission accomplished, you have been a good and faithful servant, let us now cross the river and rest in the shade of this tree on the other side.
Funeral services will be at Trinity United Methodist Church in Little Rock on Monday October 13, 2025 at 10 AM. The Reverend Roy Smith shall officiate. In lieu of flowers a donation to Trinity United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association is appreciated.
