Jo Ann M DeSantis

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we share the passing of Jo Ann (Jeanie) DeSantis at the age of 81, on Thursday, March 28, 2024, after a long battle with Breast Cancer. She resided in Port St Lucie Fl at the Savanna Club since 2003 having moved there from North Lauderdale Fl. where she moved to from Niagara Falls NY in 1972. She was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Niagara Falls NY when she was eight years old.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband and best friend John A DeSantis, her children Anthony J DeSantis, Terese M DeSantis, Laura P DeSantis, Phyllis M Cisson, grandchildren Kory Nash, Brandi DeSantis, Richard J Cisson, Samantha Cisson, Alexandra Carlisi, Anthony DeSantis and great grandchildren Mason and Emma DeSantis. She was the daughter of Angelo and Gladys Donatelli who resided in Naples, Fl originally from Niagara Falls, NY.
She attended Gaskill Jr High School, graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1959 and studied at Niagara University. She was very active in the fields of Arts and Crafts and was a member of the Coral Springs Craft Guild, PSL Crazy Quilters, Piece Makers, Florida Sew Society, and Painting Guilds.
She loved to dote on her grandchildren by making them clothes, blankets, pillows, quilts. She participated in many charitable events by donating her time and talents to making of quilts for veterans, clothes for orphans, comfort kits for mothers who lost children during childbirth, and many other charitable activities.
She will be sadly missed by all, especially her husband John of 64 years.
