Jo Ann Williams

Jo Ann Williams, age 78, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away suddenly early Wednesday morning November 26, 2025.
Jo Ann was born on April 25, 1947, in Delaware, Ohio to the late Fredrick Scarry and Mary Arthur.
When only 16 years old, Jo Ann was involved in a devastating car accident which left her comatose for a period of days. Jo Ann wrote an article for Teen Magazine following the accident, which was published. This accident shaped a lot of Jo Ann's perspective on life, overcoming something while so young.
Jo Ann Williams was a member of the 1965 graduating class from Rutherford B. Hayes High School, alongside her future husband Michael Williams who she would marry on April 14, 1990. The two went on to enjoy more than 35 years of marriage together and considered each other soul mates and best friends.
Jo Ann had an extensive career in customer service for telecommunications companies such as Verizon (formerly GTE). During her career, Jo Ann always worked so hard to make sure that she was self-sustaining and that she didn't owe anything. This habit of hard work led to her getting a perfect 850 credit score.
For Jo Ann, family always came first. She loved to spend time with all of her family, and would always tag along with her husband Mike when he went to the Eagles or would be doing Elvis impressions. She made every moment so special.
In her spare time, Jo Ann and her husband would enjoy time at their camper in Bellefontaine and sitting on their porch swing together.
Jo Ann Williams was a kind, independent, and giving person who will be missed dearly by so many.
Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents Fredrick Scarry and Mary Arthur.
Jo Ann Williams is survived by her husband Michael Williams; son Patrick Desmond (Eliza); stepson Mike Williams (Nancy); granddaughter Piper; brother Rick Scarry; half brother Joe Scarry; half-sisters Allice Scarry (Ward Ball) and Debbie Coulter (Keith); cousins Vickie Rife (Mike) and Bill Link (Jo Ann); fur babies Penny and Gabby; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be announced later.
