I have known Joan for a good number of years through Jenkins Place and Olmsted Community Center. She possessed a lovely smile and a childlike enthusiasm for all new experiences. In addition to Irish Dance, she loved Train Dominoes and was the undisputed arbiter of any questions that came up . Her mind was sharp as a tack, as she displayed during our Brain Fit lunches.
I will never forget her bringing Origami paper and very patiently teaching me to make a string of cranes even as my fingers were trembling.Good-bye Joan. May you brighten up heaven.

I met Joan at the Olmsted Community Center through teaching Irish Dance for seniors. What a kind and wonderful person! Joan was always smiling and truly enjoyed all that she did. Joan will be missed by all and her memory and all the fun that we shared together will stay with us forever. Love you Joan. Peggy Cannon
