Joan Dollar Ayscue, 81, of Timberlake, died on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at her home. Born in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late John Walter and Eula Burgess Dollar. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Thomas Ayscue, her step-father, William Ernest Dollar; her brother, Kenneth Walter Dollar and her sister, Lou Ann Watson. Mrs. Ayscue retired from Durham County Schools.
Surviving are her two sons: David Ayscue and Johnny Ayscue, both of Timberlake; two grandchildren: Josh Ayscue and Kristy Averette (Brandon); two great-grandchildren: Ella and Caroline Averette; one sister, Patricia Whitman; a special person, Jane Ayscue and two special friends, Kimberly and Braxton Lambert.
Funeral service will be held 12PM Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Pastor Greg Allison and the Pastor Jimmy Hall. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 11-12PM Friday prior to the service and at other times at the home of David Ayscue, 351 Saplin Branch Rd., Timberlake.
Pallbearers will be Kelvin Wilson, Abraham Thornton, David Sherman, Wayne Watson, Alston Watson and Jason Watson.
Memorials may be made to the Bible Baptist Church, 2047 Gate #2 Rd., Creedmoor, NC, 27522.
