Joan was born to the late James Haskins and Vera Lee "Husband" Haskins, November 19, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Brown; nephews, John Dean and Lenny Richard.
Ms. Chukwu is survived by her son Dewayne Flowers ; two daughters, Ada Chukwu, Aster Isaac; four sisters, Patricia Allen, Adrian Dean, Laverne (Leonard) Richard, Jaimmie Smith; and six grandchildren, Alijah Isaac, Sariya Delgado Flowers, Dexton Flowers, Daliah Flowers, A'lynn Lucey, Alliyah Isaac.
Services for Ms. Chukwu will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 3, 2025, at Restoration Worship Center, Radcliff, KY., Pastor Carl Smalls Jr., officiating.
Visitation after 6:00 P.M. Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home, Elizabethtown.
