Joan Coffey, 95, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on Saturday, November 1st, surrounded by her loved ones at Cherry Creek Retirement Village. Joan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend to all that knew her.
Joan was an avid reader and enjoyed classical music, and shared her passion and extraordinary talents in sewing, painting and interior design with family and friends throughout her life. After her children finished high school Joan also worked as a Landman in the oil industry in Denver.
Joan never hesitated to lend a helping hand or sympathetic ear to anyone in her life who was in need. The number of lives she touched became apparent by those who graciously supported her family and took time to visit and comfort her in her final months.
Joan was born and lived in London England through World War II where afterwards she met and later married her husband Charles (Chuck) Coffey, a member of the US Air Force, in July 1952.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck (2006).
She is survived by her children, Lorna Fairchild (Les) and Randy Coffey (Elizabeth); and her grandchildren, Evan Collier, Elise Collier-Tillman (Christopher), Brennan Coffey, Aidan Coffey, and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19th, at the Fairmount Cemetery's Little Ivy Chapel.
