Joan Evelyn "Joanie" Decker, 92, died October 9, 2025, at The Arbors at Waldron Place, Hutchinson. She was born on February 15, 1933, in Raymond, to Leo John and Leona Marie (Hirsch) Werner.

Joan graduated from Raymond High School in 1950. She worked as a hostess throughout her life at many restaurants in Hutchinson, retiring from Applebee's at the age of 71. Joan enjoyed tending to her flower beds. She loved to cook and bake; her family loved everything that she would make. Joan cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by: her children, Evelyn Decker, Lisa Considine, Tim Decker, Ted Decker and Toby Decker, all of Hutchinson, Tracy (Rod) Urish of Lawerence; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by: her parents; sons, Terry Decker and Tom Decker; daughter, Vicki Vogt; and brother, Wayne Werner.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2025, in Hilltop Cemetery, 1708 4th Rd., Raymond, with Reverend Brenda Hogan officiating. Family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary. Friends may sign her book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. The casket will remain closed.

Memorials are suggested to TECH Inc., in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
