Joan Dillon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC - Sharon on Mar. 10, 2026.
Joan S. "Pickle" Dillon, age 86, of Hermitage, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at her residence.

Joan was born in Farrell, PA, on April 23, 1939, a daughter of the late Mary (Sydlowski) and Joseph Soloski.

She was a 1957 graduate of Farrell High School and worked as a harness inspector for Packard Electric for over 30 years until her retirement.

Joan was a fun and vivacious character with the ability to make friends in any environment. Her fun and free spirited nature made her a beloved aunt, grandmother, and all-around child-magnet that loved to take children to fairs and amusement parks so that they could enjoy themselves.

In her leisure time, Joan enjoyed playing cards and traveling with her family and friends. Joan was a devoted and loyal "best" friend to her "partner-in-crime" Julie Totin for over forty years and was a beloved second mother to her daughter, Jessica, who was by her side when she joined the Lord.

Joan was a member of Our Lady of Fatima-St. Ann's Catholic Church in Farrell, PA.

Joan is survived by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Mitchell, of Greenville, PA, a son, Jon Eric (Andrea) Dillon, of Hermitage, PA, a sister, Thelma Livi, of Niles OH, two nephews, Michael Soloski and Joseph Patrizi Jr. and two grand nieces, Danielle and Bella, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Soloski, a sister, Frances Patrizi and her loving companion of 30 years, William Patrick Huff.

A private visitation was held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima-St.Ann's Catholic Church in Farrell, PA., followed by a private memorial service with Fr. Frank DiCristina officiating. Interment took place at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.

Arrangements were handled by the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146.
