Joan Rednour Dobbs, 85, of Salisbury, NC passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Tucker Hospice House.
Joan was born June 24, 1938 in Morganfield, KY to the late Richard Rednour and Lillian Davis Rednour. She was a graduate of Morganfield, KY schools. Joan enjoyed puzzles, knitting and had a woodworking business with her husband. She was a homemaker. She attended Evening Light Tabernacle Church in Hagerstown, Indiana most of her life and had a very strong faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cledeth Ray Dobbs on May 7, 2015 and son, Tony Ray Dobbs on February 20, 1964.
She is survived by her daughters, Lois Marie Kincaid and husband Lonnie of Salisbury, NC and Lisa Ann Frankfurter and husband Steven of Jeffersonville, IN; sisters, Amy Raymond of Madisonville, KY and Ruby Johnson of Warner Robbins, Ga; grandchildren: Caleb Visser (Noelle), Sarah Miller (Tyler), Samuel Frankfurter, Matthew Frankfurter (Ruth), Heather Alvarado (Able) and Clay Kincaid (Macy); and great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Eli, Eliana and Malachi Frankfurter; Carolina, Judah, and Ezra Miller and Mabry Kincaid and Able Alvarado; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12- 1 PM Friday (Feb 9) at Rose City Funeral Home in New Castle, IN. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM at Rose City Funeral Home with burial at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to Tucker Hospice House, 5005 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
