Joan Marie (nee Kolbach) Fechter, 90, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, with her family by her side.
Joan was born on May 6, 1934, on the family farm in the Town of Port Washington to the late George and Rose (nee Jacque) Kolbach. Joan was united in marriage to Edward Fechter on July 10,1954. Edward passed away on May 12, 2008.
Joan is survived by her children: Marvin (Debra Buchholz) Fechter, Debra (Joe) Sanfilippo, Randy (Sherry)
Fechter, Judy (Francis) VandeBoom, Rick (Kris) Fechter, Bill (Laurie) Fechter, Tom (Teri) Fechter, Janet (Matt)
Dabson, Jerry (Lisa) Fechter. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Joan is preceded in death by her eight siblings: Marie Lemanczyk, Henry (Hank) Kolbach, Esther
Pulvermacher, Dorothy (Dolly) Glowacki, Florence (Red) Mrazik, Rosalie (Sally) Feyereisen, Donald Kolbach, and
George Kolbach.
VISITATION: Joan's family will receive dear relatives and friends on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S. 7th Avenue, West Bend, WI – 53095).
MASS: A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation, beginning at 12:00 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Kevin Harmon. Joan's inurnment will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery in Newberg.
The family would like to offer gracious thanks to the caretakers and staff of the Samaritan Nursing Home and Rehab, as well as Allay Hospice, for the tender care given to Joan.
