Joan (Marley) Haffty, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at Wachusett Rehab and Nursing Center, where she had been lovingly cared for over the past four years. She was 79 years old.
Born on September 4, 1946, Joan grew up and spent most of her life in Worcester, Massachusetts as a mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her daughter Kimberley and her husband, Bobby Dodge, and their son, Calvin; and by her son Jeff and his wife, Sara, and their daughters, Madison and Emma. Joan also leaves behind brothers and sisters, though she had lost touch with them over the years.
Joan had a lifelong affection for cats and always found comfort and companionship in their presence. She especially loved her trips to Maine, where some of her family had lived for a time. Those visits brought her peace and happiness, and she treasured the moments spent by the ocean.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Wachusett Rehab and Nursing Center for the care and compassion they showed Joan throughout her stay.
The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
