Joan T. Heimann, 84, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at St. Anne Home and Retirement Community in Fort Wayne. Born in Decatur, IN, Joan worked with Southwick Cafeteria for 16 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of American Legion #296 Auxillary, St. Henry's Catholic Church and was involved in their choir. She and her husband were very active in the Star Craft Camping Club. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting, but most of all her family. She loved her children and cherished all her grandchildren. Surviving are her loving husband, Robert E. Heimann, children; Kenneth R. (Sharon) Heimann of Lake Elsinore, CA, Kevin E. (Sabrina) Heimann of Fairview, PA, Kris G. (Laura) Heimann of Auburn, Kurt P.(Candy) Heimann of Hoagland, Karen J. (Greg) Hughes of Pleasant Lake, Kathryn S. (Jerry) Miller of Bunker Hill, Kim M. (Paul) Wyss of Yoder, 19 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brothers, Donald (Jan) Voglewede of New Haven, James A. (Rowena) Voglewede, Gerald L. (Carolyn) Voglewede all of Decatur, and sister, Rosalie A. Gase of Decatur. Joan was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Mary Voglewede, brother, John A. Voglewede, sister, Mary Ann Nartker, and 2 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 am, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. Henry Catholic Church with calling one hour prior, Fr. Daniel Durkin officiating. Calling at St. Anne Home Chapel Monday April 9, 2012 from 1pm to 2pm. Additional calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue Monday, April 09, 2012 from 4 pm to 8 pm with a rosary service at 5 pm. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
