In Loving Memory of Joan J. Horsford

Joan J. Horsford, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025.

Born on February 17, 1941, in East Cleveland, Ohio, Joan was the beloved daughter of the late Howard and Mildred Jacob. She graduated from Shaw High School in 1959 and went on to continue her education at Florida Southern University.

In Charlotte, Vermont, Joan married the love of her life, Marshall Horsford. Together they built a beautiful life and marriage of 56 years, raising their family with love, faith, and devotion. A dedicated homemaker, Joan poured her energy into activities including sports, scouting, volunteering and education. She was also a gifted artist whose talent shone through in painting, crafts, ceramics, and porcelain doll making. Her artistry earned her numerous awards through the Ceramic and Doll Artisans Guild.

Beyond her creative gifts, Joan was active in her community and touched many lives through her involvement with the Officers Wives Club, Singles Again, and her cherished Bible Study group. Her warmth, generosity, and strength of spirit were evident in everything she did.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Horsford, and by her grandson, Hunter Albright. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Wendy Albright and husband Keith of Fort Worth, Texas, and Bill Horsford and wife Laurie of Union, Kentucky; her siblings, Ralph Jacob and Nancy O'Toole; and her treasured grandchildren, Gage Albright, Katherine Horsford, and Brooks Horsford.

A celebration of Joan's life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Parkway Bible

Church, 303 E. Pflugerville Parkway, Pflugerville, TX. The church will open for gathering at 11:00 a.m. The service will be conducted from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a reception from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
