Joan Marie Larkins

Joan Marie Doherty Larkins, 93 of West Hartford Connecticut, died October 15, 2025. She was born in Detroit Michigan on August 9, 1932 to Thomas and Margaret Doherty. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard F. Larkins. She is survived by her daughter Patti Larkins Nenna (husband Fred) and son William Larkins (wife June) She has 4 grandchildren Michael, Kristopher, Riley and Carolyn and 3 great grandchildren Heather, Hunter and Parker.
Joan loved to garden and was a member of the West Hartford Garden Club. She was an avid volunteer with Connecticut A La Cart, the Connecticut Opera Guild, the garden ministry at St Peter Claver, The Mark Twain House, and a number of others - the list could go on and on. She loved playing golf, bowling, tap dancing and was an avid bridge player.
Most importantly she loved being with her family and friends the most. A consummate and frequent hostess of get togethers, parties, and events, she made everyone feel special and was always there if you needed her. She will be missed by all whom she touched. The service and following reception will be held on October 23rd, at 11AM at St. Peter Claver, 47 Pleasant St., West Hartford, CT 06107.
