Joan Rowena Lattimore was born on February 26th, 1947, to Mary and Deforest Adams. Joan was called home to be with the Lord on May 2nd, 2025.
She attended Marshall High School. Joan worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years, where she enjoyed caring for and working with the residents.
Joan found great enjoyment in her hobbies of fishing, bowling and music. Her love for music led her to become a soprano with the Thompson Community Singers throughout her teen years. She also had a deep passion for cooking and creating recipes. Holidays were her favorite time where she could showcase her great cooking skills and express her love to her family with a delicious meal.
Joan leaves to cherish her memories: her children, John Mobley, Lonyette (Kenneth) Hutchens, Harold Lattimore III, and Michael Lattimore; four grandchildren, Curtis, Rashad, Khadeeja, and Lauren; and nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Judith (Charles) Lindsay, Mary Jean Adams, one brother Donald (Jan) Adams and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents Deforest and Mary Adams, and siblings; Deforest Adams Jr., Ronald S. Adams, Deborah J. Sims.
Joan's Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., located at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium, 530 West Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440. Her funeral service will proceed right after the Celebration of Life beginning at 1:00 p.m.
