She was born in New London, Connecticut to the late Alice and Charles Crocker on January 17th, 1941.
Joan attended Windham High School in Connecticut and later went on to attend Cosmetology school in St. Petersburg, Florida. She married the love of her life David Nolan Flick, who honorably served in the United States Air Force for over 24 years, ultimately retiring as Chief Master Seargeant. Dave and Joan's travels took them all over the world together before they decided to settle in Naples, Florida in 1980.
Joan's family and closest friends always came first, especially her granddaughters who were her pride and joy. Joan had a fantastic sense of humor. She absolutely loved the holidays and infused her creative flair into everything she did, especially her parties! Joan was incredibly generous and rarely missed a chance to do something nice for someone else. She will be terribly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons David Flick of Orlando, Florida, Jeffery Flick, daughter Nancy and son-in-law Leroy Bishop of Naples, Florida, granddaughters Emma Flick, Molly Bishop, Abigail Bishop, sister-in-law Barbara Goudie and her four-legged best friend, Buddy.
Because Joan always loved a good time, we will celebrate her life on August 2, 2025 at Lely Presbyterian Church, 110 St Andrews Blvd, Naples, FL 34113 with the Reverend Hayes officiating.
She is preceded in death by her husband David Nolan Flick.
In lieu of flowers, Celebration of Life contributions may be made to her children Nancy, Jeff or David W. Flick.
