Joan (Joni) M. Kahley Neidigh, 70, of Carlisle, passed away on March 28, 2026.
Born on November 10, 1955, in Schwabisch Gmund, West Germany, Joan is the daughter of the late Retired SFC Robert J. Kahley of Carlisle, formerly of Bryn Mawr, and the late Patricia A. (McCallum) Kahley of Bryn Mawr.
Joan is survived by her loving husband, Randy L. Neidigh. She is also survived by her much-loved daughter, Jennifer P. (Neidigh) Adams (Jeremi) of Carlisle, and her cherished grandson, Devon P. Poole of Carlisle. She is survived by her two brothers, Robert P. Kahley of King of Prussia, and Stephen (Tessa) D. Kahley of Phoenixville, her mother-in-law, Flo Carpenter Gutshall, a stepsister, Parris (Mike) Keating of Roxbury. and many nieces and nephews.
Joan is preceded in death by her stepmother, Patricia A. (Thrush) Kahley of Carlisle, a stepsister, Vickie Morris of Carlisle as well as her parents.
Joan was a 1974 graduate of Carlisle High School. She coached men's and women's softball in the Carlisle Parks and Recreation League for twenty plus years, winning a state championship in 1999.
Joan spent her life speaking out against racism and hate. In her memory and in memory of her beloved cousin, Michael F. James, please do the same.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan's memory to the Deven Jackson Fund, 5125 Spring Road, Shermans Dale, PA 17090, and Speranza Animal Rescue, 1216 Brandt Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
A visitation will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m., at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W. Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013.
