I first met Joan more than 60 years ago when her family joined Trinity Episcopal Church. She was warm and friendly, always involved with church activities, always happy to chat with us young people, and always erupting with that distinctive laugh. She and my mom were on the altar guild for years, and I'm so grateful the three of us, plus fellow guild member Joan Dellatorre, got to visit one last time last month. Joan greeted us as warmly as ever, and she laughed just as heartily. Wishing Charlie and his family many happy memories.

I worked with Joan at the Barron Center. I remember her as a kind, caring nurse to all the residents there. She was a lovely person to work with too. While there, I was pregnant with my son and she made a beautiful blanket for him. I still have it. My condolences go out to her family
