Joan Pratt Obituary

She was born January 22, 1948, in Massillon, the daughter of the late Lee and Dorothy (Hoffman) Pratt.
Joan attained her masters degree in education from Kent State University.
Joan retired from Washington High School where she taught English.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Mary's Campus where she sang in the choir. Joan also belonged to the Massillon Woman's Club. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was a world traveler.
Joan is survived by four cousins.
Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 11 A.M. at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Mary's Campus.
Burial to follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Washington High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, One Paul Brown Drive S.E., Room H-214, Massillon, Ohio 44646.

Ms. Pratt was a teacher of mine at Washington High School. The picture that was chosen is exactly how I remembered her. She could be "tough" at times but I'm glad she was!! God bless her family and friends Robin (Atkins) Kinney
