Joan Scallion

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Joan "Joanie" Scallion, Age 89. Born on April 28, 1936, in Detroit, MI to the late Joseph and the late Laura Krawczyk. Passed away August, 13, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Donald Scallion for 37 years.
Joanie leaves behind six children: Lisa (Fred) Kopplow, Laurie Scallion, Marion (Scott) Culver, Daniel (Katie) Scallion, Ann (Larry) Law, and Kris (Jeff) Pierfelice. She was preceded in death by her dear daughter, Denise, and her loving brother, Norman (Virginia) Wyss.
Grammy Joan is dearly loved and forever in the hearts of her eight grandchildren: Anne, Lauren, Freddy, Abby, Evie, Lily, Brody, Hope, and dearest nephew, Skip Wyss. There is no doubt her children and grandchildren were her greatest pride.
She treasured her beautiful friendships throughout her life, and all the laughter they shared.
Joan's life will be remembered as one filled with unwavering dedication to her family and her ability to effortlessly exude love, as well as gentle kindness-a testament to her beautiful soul. It was strong faith, love for family, and appreciation for God's beautiful creations that made Joanie admired by all.

Funeral Monday Instate from 1:15 pm until 2:00 pm followed by Funeral Mass 2:00 pm at St. Clement Catholic Church, 343 S Main St., Romeo, 48065.
