Joan E. Stouffer, 82, of Chester, passed, Friday, December 30, 2022, at her granddaughter's home in Follansbee.
Born, on February 22, 1940, in Hammondsville, OH., she was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Mary M. Boyle Pysniak.
She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Eva Mae Boyle, and her sister, Mary Jane Pysniak.
Joan graduated from Irondale High School. She continued her education receiving an Associate Degree in Accounting and later attended West Virginia Community College receiving an Associate Degree in Nursing. Joan dedicated 19 years at Crucible Steel until their closure. She was later employed by Ferro Corporation, J.Vodray Office, and Pittsburgh Children's Hospital.
She was an avid antique collector but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family. Joan found joy in traveling, square dancing, and playing cards.
She will be missed by her husband, Jeremiah "Jerry" Stouffer; daughter, Julie Ann Green and her husband, David of Toronto; stepchildren, Terri Rowland (Richard) of Pittsburgh, Sherri Woofter of Weirton, Holly Trinone (Jim) and Cassandra Kranis (Robert); sisters, Janet Fraley of Irondale and Patricia Ruppersburg (Ronald) of Wellsville; grandchildren, Ashley Nicole DeCapio, Brittany Elizabeth Dirle (Scott Jr.), and Cory Alexander Poling and great-grandchildren, Caleb Shane DeCapio, Barrett Cole DeCapio, Leonna Grace Poling, Kyler Alexander Poling, and Ryker Alexander Poling.
No services are planned at this time. Joan is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
