Joan Lillian Walsh, 88, of Morton Grove, Illinois and formerly of Burton upon Trent, England, entered into eternal life on November 12, 2025. Beloved wife of Brendan for 64 years. Loving mother of John F. (Tracey) and Brendan G. (Eileen) Walsh. Cherished grandma of Julie, Andrew and Anthony Kaczmarek, Roxanne (Gregg) Rubin, A.J (Joel) Salomon, Maura, Fiona and Cecelia Walsh. Great-grandmother of Layla and Nathaniel Rubin, and Camille and Isaac Salomon. Dear sister of the late Edwin, Cynthia, and Jennifer. Fond aunt and friend to hundreds.
Joan retired after a decades-long career as a supervisor for the Midland Hotel in Chicago. She made many friends throughout her life and always kept in touch with everyone. Joan had a generous spirit, kind heart and a hospitable disposition. She would always make someone feel like a part of her family. Joan was an avid lover of music and dancing. She is remembered for her great wit and a terrific laugh.
Visitation at 10am followed by Funeral Mass at 11am to be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 8523 Georgiana Ave, Morton Grove, IL 60053. Luncheon to follow at Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria Morton Grove, 6415 Dempster St, Morton Grove, IL 60053
