Publish in a newspaper

Lois E. Walsh (Fox), age 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Margate, NJ, on November 14, 2025. Born and raised in Westville, NJ, Lois graduated from Woodbury High School in 1954. Her exceptional athletic abilities earned her induction into the Woodbury High School Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the historic 1952–53 "Year of Champions." During that remarkable year-considered one of the most successful in United States high school sports history-every boys' and girls' athletic team either tied for or won their league titles. Lois proudly contributed to this legacy as a member of the championship field hockey, girls' tennis, and girls' basketball teams. She was later crowned the Queen of Sports for the Woodbury High School Class of 1954.
Lois and her husband, Mike, made their home in Washington Township, where they raised their family, before relocating to West Deptford in 2005.
Lois began her career at Mobil Oil as an executive secretary and later retired from Graduate Hospital. Her love for family and friends shone through her kind spirit and sweet disposition. Lois delighted in decorating her home for every occasion, always preparing a warm and festive space for gatherings. Her holiday trees-beautifully decorated year-round-became a cherished tradition. Known for her impeccable taste, she was often sought out for her keen eye in home décor. She brought Shabby Chic to another level, always adding her signature touch of leopard print.
A devoted grandmother, Lois never missed an important event and was her grandchildren's biggest cheerleader. She enjoyed playing games with them-Yahtzee being a favorite-and adored each of them. She also loved spending time at the shore, where she created a joyful, welcoming environment for family and friends, always ready to raise a glass of wine in good company.
Lois is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael R. Walsh, and her sister Barbara Miller. She is survived by her children Kimberly Forte and her husband Denny, Michael Walsh and his wife Nicole; her grandchildren Aggie and Mason Forte, Michael and Riley Walsh; her brother Art (Diane) Fox; and her brother-in-law Richard Miller.
Family and friends are invited to greet the family after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Avenue, Woodbury, NJ. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America® at https://www.dementiasociety.org/
