Norma Florence Tash (nee Watts), 94, of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025.
Norma was the loving and devoted wife of the late George Tash Sr (deceased, 2018). She is survived by her 3 sons, George Tash, Jr (Kristen), Steven Tash (Cathy, deceased) and Michael Tash (Sandra). She was a deeply loved and proud grandmother of six, Lisa (Joe), George III, Steven, Michael (Adriana), John, and Abigail, and great grandmother of Charlie & Joseph McCoy, and Charlotte, Emma and New Baby Girl (coming soon!) Tash. She was a wonderful aunt, mother/sister-in-law and surrogate mom to all.
Norma grew up in Camden, New Jersey, as the adopted daughter of Sadie and Philip Watts. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, East Camden, as part of the class of 1949. She loved spending time at the Jersey Shore with her girlfriends, and going to dances.
At one of these dances, she met her future husband, George, the love of her life. They were married in New York City on January 6, 1954, on the TV program, "Bride and Groom," after winning a contest to appear on the show, which also included a honeymoon in the Poconos. They were married for 64 years and lived in Deptford for more than 53 years until George's passing.
Her family was always the major love of her life. While raising her three sons, she also worked at Romar Tire as a bookkeeper to help with the family finances. When her grandchildren came along, she was a dedicated grandmother, and spent every possible minute with them, attending their sporting and school events, every holiday and birthday, having sleepovers and family gatherings at her home.
Norma was tremendously loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Family will receive friends to celebrate the life of Norma on Monday, November 24, from 6pm - 8pm and Tuesday, November 25, from 10am - 11am, followed by a funeral service at 11am in the Budd Funeral Home, 522 Salem Ave (Kings Hwy), Woodbury, NJ. Interment to follow at Gloucester County Veteran's Cemetery. Memories may be shared at www.buddfuneralhome.com.
