Joni is survived by her children Laura Wernlund, Gary Wernlund; grandchildren Bodhi & Sumer; brothers & sister Nancy (Bill) Sauro, Tom (Vicki) Nagel, Bill (Ellen) Nagel; many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ramona & Donald Nagel.
Joni was a loving mother, sister, and friend. Her passions included books, reading, sewing, crafts and a strong love for music and showtunes.
She will be missed by all that shared her love.
Memorial Gathering 3-7 PM Friday, August 30 at O'Connell Funeral Home, 1010 Newton St., Baldwin.

Joni was the sister I never had. She was kind and always hooking people up together. Family was important; all the family members. She will be greatly missed.
