JoAnn Mary Anderson, 80, of Tenstrike, MN died Saturday, September 20, 2025 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Wilton, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

JoAnn was born December 7, 1944 in Bagley, MN, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Chevalier) Anderson. She graduated Bemidji High School in 1962 and went on to graduate from Bemidji State University and her Masters Plus degree from St. Cloud State University. She lived and worked in Solway, St. Cloud, and Bemidji, MN. She retired from St. Cloud School District 742 in 2000. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wilton and St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji. She enjoyed farming, gardening, raising beef cattle, fishing, home decorating, yard displays, refurbishing furniture and figurines, card playing, and baking.

She is survived by her brothers, Richard (Vange) Anderson, Steven (Sue) Anderson, and LeRoy (Bev) Anderson, nieces and nephews. (You don't have to be blood to love like blood) Pat Neumann, Debby Gretz, Eileen Olmscheid, many dear friends and co-workers; Faye Mrozek, Doreen Bohm, Jean Symanietz, and Chuck Cedergren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step brothers, John Caskey and Gene Caskey, and her niece Amy Anderson.

Donations may be made to St. Philip's School and/or Bemidji Community Food Shelf.
