JOANN E. BUNDSCHUH, age 96, of Piqua, OH, passed away at 4:07 PM on Wednesday December 18, 2024 at Upper Valley Medical Center Troy, OH. She was born in Sidney, OH on November 7, 1928 to the late Harold and Isabel (Millhoff) Fagan. On June 5, 1948 in Piqua, OH she married James F. Bundschuh and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2005.
Joann is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Craig (Lowi) Bundschuh, Covington; OH, a former daughter-in-law: Peggy Thoma, Piqua; OH; her sister: Jean Bassett, Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren: Katie (Damon) Strickland, Stefanie Nemitz, Jennifer (Ernie) Aller, Chauncey Johnson, Cindy (Andrew) Gray; nine great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one grandson: Chris Bundschuh.
Joann graduated from Bainbridge High School, Bainbridge, OH. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Piqua, OH. Joann was a homemaker.
Joann enjoyed attending Piqua High School athletic events and Ohio State Football games with her husband and with their good friends Richard and Joann Tyson. She was an avid reader and supporter of Piqua Public Library. She enjoyed walking with her friends and traveling in the United States and Internationally.
A service to honor Joann's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday December 23, 2024 at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, OH with Pastor Scott Stremmel officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery Piqua, OH. The family will receive friends on Sunday December 22, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
