Yesterday, I got back to Vancouver after a long trip. Seeing her name in the Columbian made it a painful reality bringing tears. Where do I begin with stories about JoAnn someone I knew for 37 years? There are so many. She was such a wonderful person. Funny and super smart. Kind and compassionate. So much energy and passion. What I'll miss most was when she "called to chat" sharing what was going on in our lives- work, family, friends, pets (Joe ate 1 dozen Krispie Creme donuts and ended up looking like one), cooking and sewing/quilting ideas, travels, special occasions (birthdays, holiday parties with wonderful food, lots of card games).
