JoAnn Egan

JoAnn Egan age 83, of Oakmont and formerly of Penn Hills, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Catherine (Tomaselli) and Michael DeMartino; beloved wife for 59 years to the late Thomas E. Egan; loving mother of Karen (Jeff) Jankowski, Sandra (Lorenzo) Frazzini, Lori (Tom) Udanis, and Michael (Kelly) Egan; grandmother of Angela (Rick), Kara (Dom), Lorenzo (Kelsey), the late Angelo, Tonilynn, Jessica (Nick), Sarah, Kylie, Rylee, and the late Angelo; great-grandmother of eight; sister of the late Joseph (Helen) DeMartino, the late Rosemarie (Louis) DiVittorio, Tony (Gloria) DeMartino, and the late Frances (John) Messina. JoAnn was also survived by many beautiful lifelong friends.
JoAnn was a devout Catholic, a member of St. Susanna's Parish. She was also a member of card club, garden club, an avid Hallmark Christmas Movie fan and reader. JoAnn loved spending time in the kitchen with her family, and cherished passing down her favorite recipes to her children and grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to a mass of Christian burial on Friday August 11, 2023 at 10 a.m. in St. Susanna Church of Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish 200 Stotler Rd. Pgh., PA 15235. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Verona next to her husband. Arrangements entrusted to the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., OAKMONT.
