JONES, JoAnn Marie - age 87, of Swartz Creek, passed away, January 20, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday, January 27, 2025 and 10 AM - 11 AM Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek, 5372 Seymour Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473, The Medical Team Hospice, 5406 Gateway Centre Blvd, Suite F, Flint, MI 48507 and / or LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care, 4085 Lapeer Road, Burton, MI 48509. JoAnn was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd and Pearl (Starkey) Monroe. She married Melvin C. Jones on September 20, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 2011. JoAnn loved working with the kids of First Baptist Church and helping with funeral dinners. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and bird watching. Surviving are: four children, Susan (Rick) Belt of Flint Twp., David (Janie) Jones of Georgia, Michael (Nancy) Jones of Alpena, and Stephen (Corey) Jones of Flushing; grandchildren, Lindsey (Michael) Dillon, Matthew (Jennifer) Belt, Victoria (Derek) Ratzlaff, Jackson and Andrew Jones, Barrett and Nolan Jones, and Braydin and Reece Jones; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Piper, and Isla Dillon, Brooks Belt, and Jack Ratzlaff.
