Joann was born on February 10, 1939, in Bradenton, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kelly Parks Sr.; her daughter, Jean Slaughter; and her son-in-law, Rick Slaughter.
She is survived by her sons, Frank "Buddy" Parks Jr. and his wife Rhonda, and Gary Parks and his wife Sharon; her cherished grandchildren, Michelle and Mark Dingman, Kathy and Keith O'Brien, Michael and Trista Parks, Kelly and Lexi Parks, Nicole and Chip Faulconer, and Brooke Parks-Boldin; ten great-grandchildren, Clayton Cayman Gutshall, Jace Gutshall, James Keen, Trent Boldin, Josiah, Madison, Jeremiah, Maddox, Peyton, and Isla Parks, and Caleb Dingman; and two great-great-grandchildren, Quinn and Graham Gutshall.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., with burial at Braden River Cemetery. A reception will be held afterward at Happy Gospel Church in Oneco, Florida.
Joann will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
