JoAnn Stewart Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel P.A. - Westminster on Oct. 1, 2025.
JoAnn DeVito Stewart, 82, of Finksburg, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at her home.
Born June 26, 1943, in Atlantic City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George and Nellie DeVito. She was the loving wife of the late Donald Frank Stewart.
JoAnn earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland. She began her career as a teacher, changed paths to being a stay-at-home mom, before finally transitioning into the mortgage industry and working her way up to the role of Underwriter. JoAnn was a dedicated member of the Beta Sigma Phi, a noncollegiate sorority, where she made many friends. One of her greatest passions was celebrating the holiday season, transforming her home into a winter wonderland every Christmas. Her elaborate decorations, including dozens of Santas and Angels, as well as her overall festive spirit became a cherished tradition for her family.
Surviving JoAnn are her children Greg Flynn and wife Gloria of Moline, IL, and Michele Bailey and husband James of Harrisburg, PA; stepdaughter Robyn Dozier of Duck, NC; grandchildren Kody Flynn and Wife Kristen of Moline, IL, and Aidan Anderson of Westminster; sister Theresa Vergulti of Northfield, NJ; several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister Angie and her husband Mario Martirone, brother-in-law Victor Vergulti, and stepson Keith Dozier.
