JoAnn Annette "Jody" Tullis

JoAnn "Jody" Annette Tullis February 12, 1944 – August 30, 2025
Jody was born on February 12, 1944, in Shiner, Texas, and spent 81 glorious years making the world brighter, tastier, and more colorful. She was the kind of woman who could sew a dress, paint a masterpiece, bake a pie, and still have time to ask if you were doing okay - and actually mean it. Her hands were always busy, whether stitching fabric, brushing paint, or whipping up something delicious for a family gathering. If there was a bare wall, she painted it. If there was a sad plant, she healed it. And if there was a person in need, she showed up. She loved fiercely and gave freely - of her time, her talents, and her heart.
Survived by: Four sons: Steven (Karen) Kolar, Brian (Kathy) Tullis, Dean (Michelle) Tullis, and Dale (Amber) Kolar. Siblings: Charlotte (Gene) Janak, Gus (Janis) Trojcak, Frances (Bill) Sulak, Billy Trojcak, Frankie (Cheryl) Trojcak and many nieces and nephews. Grandchildren: Kristin Wendel, Kari (Russell) Weiser, Amanda (Justin) Tullis Balderree, Jordyn & Sydney Kolar, Colt Tullis, Chandler, Blaine, Bentley, Brody, and Brooklyn Kolar. Great-grandchildren: Kailyn, Landry, and Mason Wendel; Kinlee & Harley Weiser; Ford & Knox Balderree.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, compassion, and recipes for life. One of her favorite things to do was to buy gifts for her family and friends. We miss her deeply and will treasure those memories forever. Jody was awesome. Not in the casual, overused way-but in the truest sense of the word. She inspired awe. She will be missed more than words can say. We love you. Always.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Martin Luther Lutheran Coletoville Church Hall, 2535 Coletoville Road, Victoria, TX 77905 at 11:00am. Lunch will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Victoria Adopt-A-Pet or Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity.
